We walk an easy walk along the water in the beautiful nature of Vrångö and talk along our walk about the seaweed varieties and edible beach plants we see. I bring a number of seaweed varieties that grow a little deeper in the water, and we settle down in a nice place where I tell you more about the seaweed, how, where and when to pick it sustainably, how we can use the different seaweed varieties in our own kitchen and a little about what they contain that is useful for us. The price also includes a tastier fika with seaweed and beach plants as an ingredient in both fika and drinks.

Hey. My name is Karolina Martinson and I live on Styrsö in the southern archipelago of Gothenburg. For more than 15 years I have had a passionate interest in our fine Swedish seaweed, and in creating a Swedish food culture where seaweed has an obvious place on our plates. I call myself a seaweed diver, sustainability inspirer and ambassador for the new sustainable Blue industries of the future, and I just love being able to tell you in as many different ways as possible about how you can pick and enjoy the seaweed and the beach plants, but also about how we can relate to the sea and the raw materials that come from it in a more sustainable way. Now and in the future.
In 2021, one of my dreams came true, and together with Linnea Sjögren I got to publish the book *** [Picking seaweed and beach plants] (https://www.algblomman.com/boken) *** at Natur och Kultur förlag.
I am convinced that one of our very best ways to learn and understand new things is through what we experience. Therefore, I want to show you how good the future can taste, how beautiful it can be, awaken your love for the sea and its inhabitants and at the same time have fun on the way. Get in touch and I'll tell you more.
